We’re trying 1,000 Hours Outside again! A couple years ago a former board member introduced us to 1000 Hours Outside. She brought in a bunch of copies of tracking sheets and monthly prompts full of ideas to get your kids off screens and into the Great Outdoors. There was a little interest last time, but with more kids frequenting the library these days, we’re going to try again! We plan to have an 1000 Hours Outside-inspired activity on the last Saturday of each month. This Saturday will be a Snow Play Day from 11am-1pm. We’ll be sledding and snow painting, then heading inside to warm up with hot cocoa and a craft. Dress appropriately, bring a sled, and come play! ❄
