Last Thursday we dissected owl pellets! We learned about how owls eat and digest their prey, how their bodies take what nutrients they need, and then regurgitate a pellet that’s comprised of bone, teeth, and fur from their prey. It’s a pretty remarkable thing, and each pellet held different items for us to investigate.
There are books about owls (fiction and non-fiction) on display if anyone else wants to learn or read some wonderful stories! Many thanks to the awesome moms who hung out with us and helped clean up.
