We are pleased to partner with YWCA Jamestown, Chautauqua Institution & twenty other community organizations to announce the second year of The Chautauqua County Book Read, and we invite all Chautauqua County residents to participate. The purpose of this shared book read is to engage residents, businesses, nonprofits, and organizations to help heal our divides and propel participants to be engaged citizens working towards a more inclusive and just society.
The common book selected is “Under the Skin: The Hidden Toll of Racism on American Lives and on the Health of Our Nation” by Linda Villarosa. Participants will also be invited to attend a free, live lecture at CHQ Institution with Villarosa on July 20! #chqbookread
We have a copy of the book for our patrons to check out, and other copies are available through CCLS.
